SMS Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 23, 2026

1. Program description. The SeatWatch text-alert program sends automated text messages notifying you when a seat opens in a full college course or section you have chosen to monitor. Text alerts are an optional feature of SeatWatch, available on every plan including the free one.

2. How to opt in. Add your U.S. mobile number and check the consent box that reads: “I agree to receive automated SeatWatch course seat-availability alerts at the number provided. Message frequency varies based on the courses I monitor. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. See our Terms and Privacy Policy.” The box is unchecked by default; checking it and submitting is your affirmative opt-in.

3. Consent is not a condition of purchase. You are never required to provide a mobile number or agree to texts to buy or use SeatWatch. SeatWatch works fully without text alerts on every plan — web push and email are always available.

4. Message frequency. Message frequency varies based on how many courses and sections you monitor and how often seats open in them. You may receive multiple messages when seats open, or none when they do not.

5. Cost. Message and data rates may apply. SeatWatch does not charge for the text messages themselves; your mobile carrier’s standard messaging and data rates apply, and you are responsible for them.

6. To unsubscribe (STOP). Reply STOP to any SeatWatch text at any time to cancel. After you send STOP, we will stop sending course alerts to that number. You may also receive one final message confirming your opt-out.

7. For help (HELP). Reply HELP to any SeatWatch text for help, or email [email protected].

8. Supported carriers. Text alerts are available on major U.S. mobile carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

9. No guarantee of delivery. Text messages depend on your carrier and device and may be delayed or fail to arrive for reasons outside our control. SeatWatch also delivers the same alerts by web push and email, and you should not rely on text messages as your only means of notification. Text alerts do not guarantee you a seat, because open seats can fill in seconds.

10. Privacy. Your mobile number and consent record are used only to deliver the alerts you requested and are never sold or shared for marketing. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

11. Changes. We may update these SMS Terms; the “last updated” date above will change.
